Toolbox: Recovery and Fatigue
PezCycling News &bull Jan 17, 2012
More... Train. Recover. Repeat. This is the accepted model for success. While many athletes have a firm grasp on what training is, recovery is less well understood, and certainly less well applied. This is perhaps more true in the amateur population, where limited training time begets high intensity efforts and a mindset of always being behind in one's preparation. Perhaps a better model is Train Specifically, Recover Maximally, Repeat When Prepared! By Matt McNamara… Full Story »

Best of PEZ: Photog's View Of The Battenkill
PezCycling News &bull Jan 8, 2012
More... Best of PEZ: This years Tour of the Battenkill is in the books. I once again made the 8 hour trek north to shoot what is arguably Americas most unique one day road race. After all, I had had a blast the previous year, shooting the race from the back of a motorcycle, in the cold, and the rain. Now that may not sound like a good reason to return for most ordinary folks, but thats the stuff us cycling photographers live for. Capturing the human element stretched well beyond the limits of physical capacity. Of course the race… Full Story »

All New... Most wheel companies either make a new hub or make a new rim profile... That makes it easy for simple minded folks like me to find a starting place. Best of PEZ: All Hail The Zoncolan
PezCycling News &bull Jan 6, 2012
More... Best of PEZ: A controversial day at the Giro with the late change of route upsetting more than just the local organisers, who had worked hard to ensure the Crostis climb was ready. There was heat, there was hail and there was polemica. All in all it was another great day at the Giro d'Italia. From Austria to Italy the long was around was the order of today's 14th stage. The elimination of the Crostis meant a very tough 172km instead of the super tough 210km which was originally on the cards, but whichever way you cut it there… Full Story »
