Offseason Team Capsule: Lampre, or, which Cunego will we see this year?
Podium Café &bull Jan 12, 2012
Lampre is full of experienced veterans who will bring in plenty of good, if not spectacular, results. Lampre is full of aging riders on their last season of good results. Damiano Cunego will really be good this year (really!). Cunego, he's just going to disappoint people again. You could have made any of these statements at the beginning of the season and half the cycling world would have agreed with you. Lampre is a bit of a mystery - we never seem to know what to expect from them. After all, what other teams can have the same rider (Cunego)… Full Story »

Podium Café &bull Jan 11, 2012
First, a quick introduction. TopSport Vlaanderen is the government-run - well, one of our government at least - sports program of Flanders. It isn't just for cycling, that is just one part of it. They're a ProContinental squad that like the classics, no surprise, but also usually participate in your second-tier Spanish or Italian climby stage races (think Burgos). They have a modest budget of 2.5 million euros, and have produced some great names in… Full Story »
