Making the mini mine
Cycling Spokane &bull Feb 4, 2012
Swapped saddle, bars, stem, wheels and tires. Put a pump on there. And a bag. And a nerdy rack. I've ridden this bike a couple times to work and I've tooled around errand'ing on it. It's fun. I really feel… Full Story »

Best ride of the year
Cycling Spokane &bull Feb 3, 2012
So it's only Feb 3. But still, "best" is the "best." Jon, Bill, and I did the Valley Chapel - Mt Hope - Jackson road loop today. It's got good climbing and the dirt roads right now are perfect. Jackson… Full Story »

Losing my cool
Cycling Spokane &bull Feb 1, 2012
Dang it. I just flipped a driver off on my way to work. It was a full-on, rotate my body, get eye contact and bird-flipping second. That hasn't happened for over a year. I really try to keep it cool.… Full Story »

Cycling Spokane &bull Jan 28, 2012

For $250, shipped, I couldn't maintain my loyalty… Full Story »

Cycling Spokane &bull Jan 18, 2012

Cat 6 and other cranky observations
Cycling Spokane &bull Jan 12, 2012
I was riding home today and a guy on a bike was riding down the wrong way of the street towards me. This happens sometimes. I just hold my line and they always move. But in this case, it turns out the guy was running down a guy in a car that must've blown the stop sign at… Full Story »

Initial impressions - Chrome Kursk Pro spd sneakers
Cycling Spokane &bull Jan 10, 2012
The folks at Chrome sent me these shoes to review. I've been wearing them for a couple weeks and so far so good. The fit is nice -- I'm used to getting squeezed out of most bike shoes, but the sneaker shoes fit like I want… Full Story »
